My Name is Daniel Burk. I am currently in the process of my 7th year educating students. I have taught every grade from 3-8th. I am also obtaining my Master Degree in Education Administration. I am involved in a School Leadership Development program as well. I love education technology and continually looking for ways to improve myself and my school. I am a husband and father of two.
I have attended Lutheran schools from preschool through college. I graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska with a B.S. in Education, a Comprehensive Subject Major in Physics, a Subject Endorsement in Mathematics, and a Lutheran Teacher's Diploma. I taught Honors Physics, Physics, and Physical Science for five years at a Lutheran high school then became the association's full-time technology coordinator for another three years. I'm now back in school, working on a Master's degree in Educational Technology through Concordia University, Wisconsin.
I am currently in my 8th year of teaching. I have taught all grades K-8. Currently, I am working on my Masters degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University-Mequon, WI. I am married and have one son. I love teaching students and teachers how to use technology!
An Iowa farm kids who went to University of Northern Iowa to become a science teacher at the high school level. Taught in pubic schools and was a technology director as well. I completed graduate work in Computer Science Education and taught at William Penn University and continue to do that part time. In addition, I am a senior partner of a tech business and am taking online courses at Martin Luther College to become certified to teach in the Wisc. Evang. Lutheran Synod school system.
As an ex Lutheran High School teacher now in Cairo, the adventure of teaching to Muslim students is more than interesting. However, opportunities to share my faith abound, surprisingly, through sharing life experiences as well as through the literature I teach. It is certainly not Illinois any more!
