If a Lutheran wants to know what happens when a Lutheran Church or synod combines Lutheran Doctrine with Calvinism, they should come visit the Netherlands and see what has happened to the Lutheran Church here. The church becomes a mix of humanism and social issues. Law and Gospel are no longer taught in the church and most Lutherans forget (have long forgotten) the basic principles of their Faith or do not even know that there are basic Doctrines, like stated in the Book of Concordia. The church here in the Netherlands (Lutheranism)is now a church that believes everything and in substance really believes nothing at the same time. It is a humanistic social club for folks that say; Dr. Martinus Luther and Johannes Calvin were good friends in unity of Holy Scripture. This is not true, it is a big joke played on church members that no longer read God's Word.

I had an "unplanned" absence yesterday afternoon and Jim took my classes. That may be a way for you to make a connection occasionally.
He is also taking the "21 Things" class.

The first year in any position - even if it is "only" changing grades is a tough one. Knowing that you have to be intentional n making connections and learning has you halfway there.

I actually didn't know that. I'll have to give it a try. I am pleased with Jing, though, because it is cross-platform and I use Windows PCs in addition to my Macs.

Did you know that the new quicktime X player can do screen casts. Since you are on a mac i figured I would let you know. When you open the program just go to file --> New Screen Recording. Choose your settings and away you go. It saves it as a .mov file. It is very nice. You can then edit in imovie if you want.
